How do I obtain a User Name and Password to access the advanced features of the sunshinemetals.com Website?

User Names and Passwords can only be obtained by individuals and companies which have an account with Sunshine Metals. Each Company receives a single, “Master Account”, which can then be used to issue an unlimited number of User Accounts. Please check with your organization to see if you already have a Sunshine Metals “Master Account” for the website. If not, you can obtain one by contacting your Sunshine Metals Sales Representative.

How do I request a quote on products from Sunshine Metals (Request an RFQ)?

You can build a Request For Quote (RFQ) simply filling up a shopping cart in the Sunshine Metals online product catalog. When you submit your shopping cart, it is passed to the Sunshine Metals Sales Team for quoting.

When I try to take a certain action, the website tells me that I do not have permission. What can I do?

Each Sunshine Metals customer is given a “Master Account” User Name and Password. This “Master Account” is used to create all of the User Names and Passwords for the staff of your organization. For each User Name and Password created, a set of permissions – what that user can see and do on the site – is set by the “Master User”. If you do not have a certain functionality that you need, you should ask your “Master User” to give you permission for that functionality.

What level of Security does the Sunshine Metals Website Use for my Data?

All access to your data is password protected. In addition, all secure data transmitted over the web is encrypted using a third-party 128-bit certificate.

Is any Information that you collect on me shared or made public.

Sunshine Metals will not share any information regarding our customers or users with any other party. No customer information is made public, nor posted to the website.

What information is collected about my activities on the Sunshine Metals Website?

The Sunshine Metals Website collects two forms of data regarding use of our website:

  1. General Browsing of the site, and
  2. Customer Specific Information.

The General Browsing information is limited to the standard Web Server Logs. This information is very general in nature, and does NOT allow us to view specific customers web viewing habits, nor track them on the web. Customer-Specific Information gathering is limited to storing the contents of the shopping carts. This must be done in order to associate the cart with the customer. This information is not used for any other purpose.

I am having trouble logging in. What can I do?

First, be aware that all User Name and Passwords are Case-Sensitive, that is, capitalization matters. This allows us to increase the level of security that your password provides. If you still cannot access the site, you can ask the holder of your organization’s “Master Account” to re-create your account (at which time the master user can set your password to whatever you wish it to be). If this fails, or if the forgotten password is for your organization’s “Master Account”, then you must contact your Sunshine Metals sales representative.

How do I report problems with the website?

You can use the form here. Or you can contact your Sunshine Metals sales representative.

I have a working User Name and Password, but I cannot find or see a feature of the site that I know others users can see and use.

Each Sunshine Metals customer is given a “Master Account” User Name and Password. This “Master Account” is used to create all of the User Names and Passwords for the staff of your organization. For each User Name and Password created, a set of permissions – what that user can see and do on the site – is set by the “Master User”.
